Philly Phyzz Phest honours ‘Soda’s Pop’

To honour the inventor of soda pop – Dr Philip Syng Physick – the Philadelphia Society for the Preservation of Landmarks is hosting the fourth annual Philly Phyzz Phest on 3 July.
Originally used as a remedy to soothe the stomach, flavoured carbonated beverages, or soda, were pioneered by Physick in 1807.
His third great-grandson, Del Conner, has recreated the beverage based on the original recipe first developed in 1807 and will have it available to purchase during Phyzz Phest.
