Premium energy drink brand Positiv has introduced a new pineapple and lime variant, adding to its existing three-flavour portfolio of non taurine-based energy drinks.
All products in the Positiv range are free from artificial colours and sweeteners, and contain just 150 calories per can. New Positiv pineapple and lime joins the brand’s existing range of flavours – strawberry and lime, peach and lime, and lemon and lime – and will retail in sleek 250ml cans with a recommended retail price of £0.99.
The brand is positioned as a premium energy drink designed with the body’s dynamics in mind. All variants use naturally sourced caffeine, honey, herbal adaptogens and B-vitamins to provide stamina, energy and wellbeing. To reinforce these credentials, Positiv was a sponsor and official hydration partner of London Triathlon 2015, which took place at Excel earlier this month.
The new drink joins the three flavours that Positiv already offered.
Products are available nationwide through Palmer & Harvey – as well as in more than 3,000 independent outlets and selected branches of Costcutter, Spar, Budgens, Londis and Nisa.
Positiv UK sales manager Jamie Taylor said: “We’ve carried out extensive research and found that, as consumers mature, they demand more from an energy drink. Taking advantage of our USPs, we’re appealing to a much wider demographic, not just those who want the ‘crash and burn’ effects from a drink. Also, Positiv is for those who want a healthier option without synthetics but with natural fruit juices.
“I’m so excited to launch our amazing new pineapple and lime flavour – it really does complement the current range perfectly and boasts all the same benefits.”
