Progresso, General Mills’ canned food brand, has launched a new range of soups with three-quarter cups of vegetables per serving.
The new Good Natured soups line is available in three individual flavours: tomato with spinach and roasted garlic, corn and chipotle chowder, and lentil with garden vegetables. Good Natured soups are vegan, using different bean bases and vegetable purées to achieve a hearty and creamy texture without the need for dairy ingredients.
Good Natured soups also have no preservatives or colours from artificial sources.
“We know that consumers are more interested in plant-based diets,” said Progresso marketing manager Roger Galloway. “With Good Natured soups, we’re celebrating vegetables and showing that beans are not boring and lentils can be fun. Whether you start your Mondays going meatless or recently started pining vegetarian inspiration, our unique flavours will satisfy your hearty appetite.”
The new soup line is being launched just in time for the ‘soup season’, available nationally across the US a suggested retail price of $3.29 per 17oz carton.
