Pukka Herbs has introduced four new matcha green teas, completing its Green Revolution range of herbal teas.
Pukka’s supreme green matcha will now be joined by brand new ginseng matcha green tea, alongside mint matcha green tea and clean matcha green tea – both featuring “a healthy addition of matcha”.
The creation of a new sweet green tea completes the new-look Green Revolution range. Sweet vanilla green tea is the perfect partner for satisfying sweet cravings without the guilt, Pukka said, as the soothing green tea is full of antioxidants like its matcha counterparts.
Pukka Herbs master herbalist Sebastian Pole said: “Matcha is green gold. Packed full of organic goodness, Matcha has been recognised as a superfood and marrying it with tea means everyday consumption is easier than ever. Matcha has 100 times the antioxidants of regular green tea and, gram for gram, contains about 100 times more antioxidants than spinach.”
Matcha is made from a special type of powdered green tea that is grown under shade for a few weeks before being harvested. The stem and veins are then removed before being powdered into the finest verdant grains that dissolve easily in water. Pukka’s Green Revolution teas are made using the finest herbs, and are all organic.
Pole continued: “Properly grown organic herbs taste incredible, there’s no doubt about it. But organic means more than just great taste or less chemicals (although, naturally, this is very important). We love organic thinking because it means giving back what we take out during our time here on planet earth. It’s a holistic way of living and being that matches our own guiding principles of living with respect for the world around us.”
The new teas will be available independent health food stores and selected supermarkets.
