From tomorrow, Quaker Oats will give away up to 1m bowls of oatmeal in the US to mark National Oatmeal Day, and as part of its latest Off You Go campaign.
To kick off Quaker’s 1m bowl giveaway, the brand shared “thank you” breakfasts with some of the people who help families get their days off to a great start. Appreciation breakfasts were served to groups of teachers and day care providers to give them a little love and care for all they do. Video footage captured at these events was then posted across Quaker’s social media channels.
To celebrate National Oatmeal Day tomorrow, it will also begin to distribute bowls of oatmeal through Twitter nominations, commuter sampling events and doorstep deliveries of Instant Quaker Oatmeal pouches in cities from coast to coast.
Quaker’s commitment to give away 1m bowls of oatmeal on National Oatmeal Day was inspired by Quaker’s recently launched Off You Go advertising campaign, which centres on the idea that each day brings new possibilities, and a nourishing breakfast provides the ideal start. Following the official launch last month, new advertisements ran across broadcast and digital networks, and campaign content was published on Quaker’s social channels.
Quaker Foods North America senior marketing director Joe Silverman said: “Each morning is filled with the exciting possibilities of the day ahead – and preparing ourselves to make the most of what the day has in store can make all the difference. For many people, Quaker is synonymous with oatmeal, so we’re celebrating National Oatmeal Day by providing 1m nourishing starts by giving away 1m bowls of delicious Quaker Oatmeal.”
