The limited edition 33cl cans are produced at Rexam’s Fredericia plant by combining two designs on parallel lines, which are mixed before palletising to deliver four designs simultaneously. The designs show images of football fans in Barclays Premier League strips, highlighting the brand strapline ‘that premier feeling’.
Commenting on the limited edition can designs, Rasmus Bendtsen, Carlsberg Pilsner Denmark brand manager, said: “We are proud to be the official beer of the Barclays Premier League and wanted a can design to communicate this. We looked to Rexam as we have a longstanding relationship with the company and appreciate their innovative design techniques. We are pleased with the outcome and feel it captures the excitement of the Barclays Premier League perfectly.”
The promotional design replaces the traditional Carlsberg design (for a limited period) and are available to buy in multipacks in Danish retail and convenience stores.
