Royal Hawaiian Macadamia Nut has expanded its range macadamia nut foods with the launch of a new buttery macadamia butter and dark chocolate macadamia spread.
Crafted using locally grown macadamia nuts and cultivated in the volcanic soil of Hilo, Hawaii, the line-up combines indulgent flavour with a smooth buttery consistency. A fresh take on traditional nut butters, the new products will hit shelves across the US in August at select conventional grocers and natural food stores.
“Nut butters have exploded on shelves nationwide, and because our fans love the authentic, satisfying taste of our real macadamia-based products, creating these unique, creamy varieties was a natural next step for our brand,” said Scott Wallace, president of Royal Hawaiian Macadamia Nut.

Positioned as a better-for-you nut butter, the all-natural and creamy macadamia butter contains roasted macadamias without added salt or oil that are ground to a creamy perfection; the butter is a good source of healthy monounsaturated fats – the same healthy fats found in avocados – and is vegan-friendly. The new nut butter is also free from dairy, soy, lactose, cholesterol, gluten and wheat.
The dark chocolate macadamia spread combines the bold taste of dark chocolate with the buttery taste of real macadamias as a sweet indulgence, ideal for eating straight from the jar or used to top fruit or baked foods. Both speciality products are non-GMO and feature a retail price of $17.50 per 12oz jar.
They join the company’s existing range of macadamia nut foods, which includes macadamia milk, roasted macadamias, dark chocolate-covered macadamias, and fruit and macadamia nut crunches.
