Smoothie brand Savse will launch two protein pick-me-ups that it has claimed will form ‘the first ever’ protein smoothie range in the UK to use high pressure processing (HPP).
It joins Protein Punch, the debut HPP protein smoothie from Savse, to form the brand’s first protein range.
Targeting consumers pre- and post-workout, the two deliciously different flavours will be available in Waitrose stores across the UK from 6 February.
Protein Smash is billed as ‘a fresh and fruity twist’ on the classic strawberry shake, and is made with strawberries, coconut and apple. The unique flavour includes 10g of whey protein to provide a fix of on-the-go protein for consumers who are looking to easily maintain a healthy and balanced diet.
A second variant, Protein Blast, is packed full of blueberries, strawberries, coconut water and apple juice for maximum flavour – and also includes 10g of restorative whey protein.
Savse previously claimed to have invented the UK’s first HPP protein smoothie, and has now launched two new products to make a range.
Both new smoothies, along with the rest of the Savse range, are made from 100% natural ingredients and utilises HPP to ensure that vital nutrients are locked into every bottle.
Savse founder Guka Taveridze said: “Protein Punch, the first ever HPP protein smoothie, proved extremely popular with discerning health-conscious shoppers who were pleased to find a protein-packed product that truly tasted great. We’re delighted to offer these two new delicious flavours. Before the launch of our Protein Range, the protein market was focused on extremely high-protein content products, useful only to those focusing on extreme exercise. Protein Blast, Protein Smash and Protein Punch are great for those simply looking to lead a healthy lifestyle.
“Today’s consumers are becoming more health-conscious and are constantly driven towards natural offerings and new or undervalued ingredients, particularly when it comes to health and fitness. We wanted to create a new protein product that is not only visionary in its health offering but one that tastes great and brings unique flavours to our audience who are sick of synthetic tasting smoothies and powdery protein offerings “
