Artisan baking company Sin (meaning to devilishly indulge and also from the Spanish word for ‘without’) has launched a range of gluten-free products.
Sin founder Denise Thomas was diagnosed as gluten intolerant. “I was appalled by the poor quality gluten free alternatives in the market – dry, peculiar tasting and just lazy product development,” she said.
“So I got out my whisk and developed recipes to perfection. The cakes are moist, good looking and great tasting – presented in little black boxes to keep them at their best. Lots of taste awards have been won, and the superior cakes are prepared in a segregated gluten free BRC accredited bakery.”
Sin’s ‘little black boxes’ offer individual servings of either 40 gram for slimmers or 80 grams for ‘sinners’. Tray bakes are also available and both the individually-boxed cakes (chocolate brownie, orange chocolate brownie, fruit cake, lemon & cranberry) and the tray bakes (orange polenta, lemon drizzle, chocolate brownie, orange chocolate brownie) can be frozen – keeping them fresh for sinning for longer.
Sin supplies British Airways and is planning to be on supermarket shelves next year
