Smart Balance milks receive Heart-Check mark
Several Smart Balance enhanced fat free milk varieties now display a recognised health symbol among food icons - the American Heart Association's Heart-Check mark.
The AHA Heart-Check mark is given to select food products that meet health standards for total fat, saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol, sodium and beneficial nutrients.
Smart Balance senior vice president and general manager John Becker, said: "It was an easy decision to align Smart Balance enhanced milks with the American Heart Association (AHA) in this way.
"The milks fit the nutritional requirements for the Heart-Check mark, and it signals to consumers that they're purchasing a heart-healthier product they can feel good about giving to their families."
