Free from artificial colours, flavours, sweeteners and preservatives, SOS claims to be as effective as an IV drip for combatting mild to moderate dehydration in active lifestyles.
SOS has 27% more electrolytes than coconut water with half the calories and half the sugar. The company claims that drinking SOS with water helps consumers absorb 3 x more water than just drinking water alone.
SOS is based on proven medical science that is used to treat cholera patients in developing countries and as such has over 50 years of associated research by the World Health Organisation to back it up. The formula has been adapted for active lifestyles.
Currently in trials with the British military and used by the US sniper school for ensuring its athletes don’t become dehydrated – one of the biggest casualty factors outside of combat.
The SOS founders are: former army officer and professional runner James Mayo; runner Tom Mayo; and Blanca Mayo (James’s Wife), who is a doctor.
