Tana Water UK rebrands to Tami 4

13 Jan 2009

As reported in Cooler Innovation magazine, mains-fed water cooler manufacturer Tana Water (UK) has confirmed the rebranding of its products to ‘Tami 4’, and will move to larger premises to support the international growth strategy of parent company Tana Industries.

Tami 4 machines remove chlorine, rust and limescale from tap water and dispense freshly filtered, chilled and boiling water from a single appliance.

Tana Industries pioneered the use of 11 Watt ultraviolet lamps in its coolers to sterilise tap water without adding chemicals. This has made the Tami 4 brand popular with health-conscious customers worldwide.

Tana Water (UK) has sold plumbed-in water coolers to the UK business market for 10 years and is now an approved supplier to the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency.

Nick Heane, MD of Tana Water (UK), said: “Tami 4 is a household name, with sales of more than 150,000 units per year in Israel’s domestic market alone. By adopting the international branding, we can benefit from the worldwide recognition built up by our parent company and expand on the success gained by the UK team over the past 10 years.”

Last month, Tana Industries invested £1.26m in its UK operation. Commenting on the rebranding, Danny Targan, CEO of Tana Industries, said: “Many UK companies have recognised that they can save money and reduce plastic waste by serving tap water at meetings and restaurants. However, as tap water isn’t to everyone’s taste, filtering offers a sustainable solution and our products meet this need. Tana Water UK grew by 50% last year and we wish to continue investing in this market.”
