Tate and Lyle has unveiled its latest portfolio of stevia ingredients as part of a collaboration with Sweet Green Fields.
The portfolio will be fully launched at this year’s Drinktec trade show in Munich (11-15 September). A menu to show manufactures how best to use the range of ingredients will be available at the show.
Visitors to the Tate and Lyle stand will be given an overview of the five new product families, including the Optimizer range which aims to be a low-cost alternative.
Tate and Lyle senior product manager Tommy Lykke Husum said: “Our partnership with Sweet Green Fields has enabled us to add the broadest and most competitive stevia portfolio in the industry to our sweetener platform.
“We can now additionally offer our customers a combined, in-depth knowledge of stevia from seed to sweetener, on top of our best in class sweeteners expertise. The partnership has enabled us to become the ingredient supplier best positioned to offer full sugar reduction solutions to our customers.
“We know that consumers are looking for more natural sweetening solutions that help them reduce calories and sugars, but they’re not willing to sacrifice great taste. In fact, the most important benefit to a consumer when choosing a sweetener is that it’s a good balance of taste and health.”
