Tequila Rose – the brand of strawberry cream liqueur – will launch in a 50cl bottle format to capitalise on the brand’s growth during the past year, brand owner Halewood Wines & Spirits has said.
The drink is a blend of natural strawberry cream liqueur and premium Mexican tequila, which combine to make a sweet, easy-drinking beverage that appeals to a diverse range of female consumers. Sales of the 15% ABV drink grew by 40% in the last 12 months, Halewood said, due to significant new listings throughout the on-trade and greater exposure through social media and consumer activations.
Halewood Wines & Spirits will be looking to distribute the 50cl bottles throughout the off-trade, while the 70cl bottle format will remain for the on-trade only. There are also plans to launch online gift packs later on in the year, utilising the 50cl format.
Laura Davies, brand manager for Tequila Rose for Halewood Wines & Spirits, commented: “Tequila Rose’s 50cl bottle offers greater convenience for consumers looking to enjoy the brand during social occasions or at home with friends.
“Halewood will be promoting a number of new Tequila Rose serves and cocktails via the brand’s Facebook page in the coming months for our fans to create at home for themselves.”
The recommended retail price for the Tequila Rose 50cl bottle will be £10.
