Tesco recalls batch of frozen food
Tesco is recalling one batch of its frozen Tesco Finest Banoffee Tart because of a packaging error.
Some of the packs contain Tesco Finest New York Cheesecake instead of banoffee tart. The cheesecake contains egg, which is not mentioned on the label. If you are allergic or intolerant to eggs, you are advised not to eat this product, the Food Standards Agency said. The agency has issued an Allergy Alert.
The product being recalled is:
- Tesco Finest Banoffee Tart (frozen), 522g.
- Display until: End June 2012.
Tesco has recalled all affected stock. Customer notices will be displayed in stores, explaining why the product is being recalled.
