A team of 11 Thames Water workers are flushed with success after raising more than £22,000 for WaterAid by completing the London Marathon.

Ant Tyler, Thames Water's technical scheduling manager, said: "It was an incredible effort to raise so much money for WaterAid. Not one of us lost sight of how privileged we are to take part in such a fantastic event - the best marathon in the world.

"Levels of fitness are part of the selection process but the most important aspect is raising money for WaterAid. We did a whole range of fundraising activities in the build-up to the marathon and by the time all the money is collected we should be up to £23,000."
