This places Trivento, part of the Concha y Toro UK (CyTUK) portfolio, with a 3.4% category share to make it the third largest Argentinian brand in grocery multiples, including Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Ocado.
This follows record results from 2013, where the brand saw a 230% total sales increase across grocery multiples. The increased awareness of Argentinian wines, especially the Malbec varietal, has been instrumental in the significant growth of Trivento.
“Malbec World Day is a very appropriate occasion to celebrate Trivento’s amazing growth in rate of sale over the past 12 months,” said Simon Doyle, general manager of CyTUK. “Of the top five Argentine brands in growth, Trivento has the highest average retail, so we’re driving category value as well. With increased marketing focus on the brand now beginning to show results, the future for Trivento is very bright indeed.”
