TV personality Nancy Dell’Olio has launched a new premium drinks brand, which lends a completely organic and contemporary new twist to the classic Italian liqueur limoncello.
Limonbello is based on an old family recipe, using Sicilian lemons for an authentic alkaline drink featuring only natural products and no added sugar. Tapping into the popular low-calorie drinks market, Limonbello gets its flavour and iconic neon-yellow colour from the infusion of the skins of locally grown lemons in pure alcohol.
Launched this week, its introduction coincides with the key summer trading period, allowing retailers to take advantage of the hugely popular alfresco drinking trend among consumers, the brand said.
Dell’Olio said: “I wanted to put a new twist on a classic Italian after-dinner drink, encompassing some of the luxurious home-grown produce found across my native Italy and the healthy, energetic lifestyle Italians are so famous for.”
Limonbello is the first product to be launched as part of the Dell’Olio range of initiatives, which will encompass a premium range of drinks, food creations and holistic lifestyle opportunities.
It will be available to buy online from 20 July with a recommended retail price of £35.
