Unilever spread brand Marmite has extended its series of packaging personalisation with the release of a limited-edition Mother’s Day jar.
The special jars have been redesigned with pink roses on the label, which Marmite fans can personalise with the word “mum”, their mother’s name or the nickname they use for them. Each jar thanks mothers “for spreading the love”, with a tagline emblazoned at the bottom of the label that replaces the product’s traditional “yeast extract” tagline.
Mother’s Day will be celebrated in the UK on 6 March.
Marmite assistant brand manager Philippa Atkinson said: “Our personalised Valentine’s jars were a big hit with consumers, so we decided to continue spreading the love with some brand new jars for Mother’s Day for our Marmite-mad mums.”
Marmite’s personalised Mother’s Day jars have a recommended retail price of £4.99 and can be personalised and purchased, along with the classic Marmite jar, through an app on the brand’s official Facebook page.
