Is the can of drink on your desk spying on you?

Bill Bruce3 Nov 2009

Spotted on an online spy gadget website (please don’t ask why I was there), the CanCam has 4GB of memory that can support 15 hours of continuous recording VGA-quality video.

I spy a problem straight away, as I have to be fairly sure that the familiar packs haven’t been used with the permission of the brand owner. While the lens on the Coke Zero version is located slightly below the logo, the lens on the standard Coca-Cola can is positioned beside the ‘calorie’ panel on the reverse of the can – a new way to watch your weight.

The on/off switch is located underneath the can itself, as well as the record button. There’s a USB port to help charge the camera, and is presumably there to download the video footage as well. It even has a remote control for even more secrecy.
