The just-published ‘American Beverage Association 2011 Review’ contains some big numbers for the US non-alcoholic beverage industry.
- $118.9bn direct economic impact
- 227,000 jobs
- $37.1bn overall tax contribution
- $872m charity contribution
- 88% fewer beverage calories in schools since 2004
- 21% fewer beverage calories overall from 1998 to 2008.
