The World Food Innovation Awards, in association with IFE, are designed to celebrate excellence and innovation across every category of the global food industry.

These awards have been running for many years and are a fantastic way for you to bolster and enhance your brand. By entering the World Food Innovation Awards you can ensure that you get both your brand and your products noticed by the top names in the industry.

How do I enter?

  • Entering is easy, simply click ‘Enter Now’ on this page!
  • You will then be taken to the entry page where you need to select the category/ies you wish to enter and then fill out the personal details form on the right hand side.
  • You will then be directed to a page where you will select your payment method.
  • Once you have chosen your payment method and paid, you will be sent a confirmation email with a unique username and password so that you can log into your awards portal to submit your entry.
  • All we ask for is a 200 word description on why you think your product should win and 2 medium sized high resolution images.
    a. In this section you can also add additional information you feel will support your entry.
    b. Please make sure to communicate clearly how your product is genuinely innovative, introduces new concepts, offers added value and has market impact.

Why should I enter?

Not only is entering a great way to showcase your success, but if you are shortlisted, you receive a PR and marketing exposure package worth £1000. This will include being:

  • Featured in the main presentation at the awards ceremony
  • Featured in the awards shortlist YouTube video which is circulated after the event
  • Announced on featuring the list of all winners, finalists and categories

How much does it cost to enter?

Each entry costs £195.
You can enter multiple categories or products but each entry is £195.

We accept all major credit and debit cards.
Entries are to be paid via credit/debit card and on receipt of payment you will be sent a confirmation email with a PDF e-receipt attached as proof of purchase.

What is the entry criteria?

All products entered must have been launched/created from January 2016 onwards.

Products that are not yet in the market can still be entered as long as they are in their prototype/packaging stage by the closing date of this scheme.

Products can be entered into multiple categories.

How do I write my entry submission?

All we ask for is a 200 word description on your product and why you should win. Along with 2 medium sized high resolution images.

Here are a few pointers on writing your entry:

  • Use the word limit
    Remember the judges may know nothing about you and each entry will be independently judged. So take a step back and think have I given my company enough justice?
  • Focus your message
    Once you have written your entry go back and revise it- is the main focus of your entry still there. Are there any unnecessary words you could take out? Could you add any stats to back it up?
  • Upload imagery
    Your entry description may be fantastic but if the judge cannot visualise your product then they cannot relate what you have written to the actual product itself.
  • Tell a story
    The entry description gives you a perfect opportunity to give the judges an insight into both yours and your company’s personality. What makes you unique? Give the judge an opportunity to understand the journey of how you are where you are… and why.
  • Start early
    Putting together a good entry takes time, so start early so you have all the data you need to really make your entry stand out from the rest. There’s not long to enter and once the deadline has passed – that’s it.

How will my entry be judged?

Our awards schemes are based on innovation therefore all entries will be judged based on the concept of their product as opposed to taste.

All judges will be basing their scores against the entrants 200 word description they upload alongside their supporting imagery and documentation. This is to ensure that all judging is fair and that all judging is based on exactly what the entrant has supplied.

The judging will take place 2 weeks after the entry deadline.
All entrants that have been shortlisted will be notified no later than February 2017.
All results are kept confidential until the awards ceremony so that the results are a surprise for all.
If you do not hear from us by this time then unfortunately it means you have not been shortlisted.

Where are the awards presented?

The awards ceremony will take place on 20th March 2017 at 14.45 at IFE, London.
While we would be very pleased to see you at IFE, attending is not a condition of entering the awards.

When will the shortlist be announced?

Once all judges have submitted their scores, all points will be counted and verified.

Due to the sheer amount of entries, we will only be notifying entrants that have been shortlisted and will contact them no later than February 2017.
