The aim of the Sustainable Foods Summit is to explore new horizons for eco-labels and sustainability in the food industry by discussing key industry issues. How do organic, Fairtrade and other eco-labeling schemes further sustainability? With growing proliferation in labels, what are the prospects for a single sustainability standard for food products? What are the practical application of sustainability metrics? What advances are occurring in sustainable ingredients? What developments are happening in formulation, production and marketing of sustainable food and beverages? Such questions are regularly addressed at this international series of summits.
Since 2009, the Sustainable Foods Summit has been covering major developments in the food industry concerning sustainability and and eco-labels, such as organic, Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance. In 2017, the European edition will be hosted in Amsterdam on 1-2nd June, the Latin American edition will be hosted in São Paulo on 18-19th September, whilst the first Asia-Pacific edition will be hosted in Singapore on 29-30th November. The next North American edition will take place in San Francisco in January 2018. Each edition will bring together some of the most influential organisations involved in sustainability and eco-labels in the food industry.
China International Vending Machine & Self-service Facilities Fair (China VMF 2018) will be staged at the China Import & Export Fair, Guangzhou Pazhou during 4-6 March 2018. China VMF 2018 will commit itself to constructing a comprehensive platform that rolls showcase, cooperation, transaction and development into one.
The 11th European edition of the Sustainable Foods Summit will showcase developments in food ingredients, new technologies, and green packaging. For the first time, the executive summit will look at the disruptive influence of new technologies on food production and marketing.
How are new technologies providing greater traceability in supply chains? What developments occurring in digital marketing and mobile apps? With plastic pollution a major concern for food & beverage firms, an update will be given on sustainable packaging options. What are the alternatives to plastic packaging? How can brands close their packaging loops? What new food ingredients are adding sustainable value to products? What innovations are occurring? Such questions will be addressed in a high-level forum.

Arena International would like to thank all those who were involved with the 5th edition of the Spirits Strategies Congress. The event was another great success and we will return next year on the 29th and 30st of October in London.
Following last year’s event, the 2018 edition has continued to support the spirits industry in combining strategies with innovation, giving the industry a holistic overview of key areas of growth in the coming years. We are really excited to announce that represented on this year’s program include some of the most foremost and innovative spirits manufacturers, featuring new case studies and interactive sessions to keep helping the industry embrace innovation, win market share and reach new consumers.
