Watercoolers Europe (WE), a federation of 15 European Watercooler National Associations, is well known for its successful and interesting annual events.  Many readers may have visited one of the recent conferences which have been held in Rome, Paris, Krakow and in 2018 Dublin. 

This year, 2019, WE invites the watercooler industry to the capital of Germany, Berlin.  The European industry continues with strong growth opportunities.  WE as well as working continuously on legislative and standards across all markets, supports environmental and hydration solutions.

Exhibitors at the International Fair, held on Friday 18th October, will reflect the development of the market, with new products and new technologies to help visitors grow their businesses.  This is a must-visit event for all those wanting to be at the forefront of the watercooler industry.

  • A total of 3,221 sector professionals visited the fair for 3 days, 427 of which were foreign visitors from 49 different countries.

Vendex North @ The Centenary Pavilion

Vendex is a one-day exhibition for the vending industry, it has been established for 15 years and has grown in success each year. It is known as the show where the trade buys whether it be machinery, ingredients, products or goods and services.

The vending industry is worth £1.5 billion P/A and vending is seen as an extension of the retail sector where products can be showcased in the workplace, leisure, travel, healthcare and education sectors. If you are unsure if your products are suitable to vend we can help with a product trial before the show. Vendex attracts many visitors and the aisles are full from start to finish with business owners and senior management from vending operators, contract caterers, service providers and facility managers. Vendex is an international show and also attracts exhibitors and visitors from overseas. Vendex is a low-cost event held at Leeds United and the Birmingham Conference Centre, both venues have proved to be very successful for visitors and exhibitors with easy access, free parking, Wi-Fi and a goodie bag. INNOVATIONS AT AQUATECH AMSTERDAM

Aquatech Amsterdam puts innovation at the forefront and new thematic hubs on the themes of desalination technology, smart water networks, pumps and process, water & energy, and climate change. The industrial water user is invited for a special seminar programme at the Industrial User Experience. The show features the InnovationLAB with the Aquatech Innovation Award nominees & winners and future technology with prototypes and demos at the InnovationLAB Experiences. The Innovation Avenue and BlueTech Research Innovation Pavilion are also must-visits if you are looking for new products and solutions.

For many years now, the Aquatech Innovation Award has been granted to the most innovative product, service or solution in the water industry. A line-up of top-notch innovative technologies, most of them world firsts, will be selected by an expert jury. The contenders compete for the overall title, and the winner will be revealed during the opening ceremony of the Amsterdam International Water Week and the Aquatech Amsterdam exhibition on 4 November.

Launching the Aquatech Innovation Forum
Taking place on Monday November 4, ahead of the well-established Aquatech Amsterdam exhibition, the tagline for the Innovation Forum is: Mastering Water’s Digital Transformation. The ambition is to showcase examples of digitalisation in the global water market and create a platform where the entire water cycle can openly share examples. Topics such as artificial intelligence (AI), autonomous water treatment, solution interoperability, and smart cities and the role of Water 4.0 will be discussed throughout the day.

Water utilities confirmed to speak include: Aarhus Vand; Anglian Water; Emschergenossenschaft; Gothenborg City; Washington Suburban Sanitary Comission; Vitens and Coliban Water.

The trade show takes place on 5-6-7-8 November 2019 and will attract some 1,000 exhibitors and over 25,000 international visitors. Aquatech Amsterdam is part of the Amsterdam International Water Week.

Returning to MalmöMässan in Sweden on 13-14 November, thousands of Nordic retailers and buyers can start to plan their visit to the highly anticipated co-located trade shows dedicated to the thriving organic, healthy, environmentally friendly and sustainable lifestyle sector.
