Amber Beverage Group (ABG) has announced that the global distribution and marketing of its Kah Tequila brand will now be managed in-house with plans for a USA relaunch.
As of April 2020, Amber Beverage Group will manage Kah Tequila across all territories.
Created to honour Mexican people and their traditions, Kah Tequila is packaged in uniquely decorated bottles and features four expressions – Blanco, Reposado, Añejo and Extra Añejo – made from 100% blue agave.
Amber Beverage Group took ownership of Kah Tequila after it acquired a majority stake in the Mexican producer of the brand, Fabrica de Tequilas Finos, in 2016.
“Adding Kah to our ever-growing tequila portfolio, reinforcing tequila brands such as Rooster Rojo and Don Camillo, allows us to offer a pyramid of solutions in every market. Therefore, we are looking forward to welcoming this award-winning tequila to our brand family,” said Pepijn Janssens, chief marketing officer at Amber Beverage Group.
As part of its USA relaunch, the company has launched a new brick-shaped bottle design while its other markets will continue to use it original skull-shaped bottles.
Janssens added: “We have developed a new bottle for the USA market and plan to launch it during 2020. Kah Tequila will keep paying reverence and honour to Mexico and its people and begins its journey in our own tequila distillery, Fabrica de Tequilas Finos, where each bottle is hand-crafted.”
Earlier this year, ABG appointed Helsinki-headquartered Beverage Partners Finland (BPF) – a part of the Hans Just Group – as its distributor in Finland and acquired a majority stake in UK premium spirits distributor Indie Brands.
