ADM has acquired Flavor Infusion International (FISA), a provider of flavours and speciality ingredients, in a move to boost its offering for the Latin American and Caribbean markets.
With the deal, ADM adds a team of 60 employees, which serves a growing list of food and beverage customers across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Flavor Infusion International provides a wide range of flavour ingredients and solutions from two manufacturing facilities in Panama and Colombia.
Vince Macciocchi, president of ADM’s nutrition business, commented: “We’re excited to open up new growth opportunities in Latin America and the Caribbean with the addition of FISA”.
“Our nutrition segment has been delivering profit growth of 15 to 20% a year and our flavours business has been an important driver of that success, with annual sales growth of more than 10%. This acquisition represents another important bolt-on addition as we expand our capabilities in this high-value segment.”
The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
