Alpro releases its first range of chilled coffees in the UK

Alpro has released its first range of ready-to-drink chilled coffees in the UK, which will be available nationwide in Sainsbury’s stores from 21 January and other retailers from February.

The Alpro Caffè range will be packaged in 1-litre cartons in two flavours, coffee & soya caramel and coffee & hazelnut.

Both drinks are created using Rainforest Alliance-certified coffee beans and 100% plant-based ingredients, and the brand claims the drinks contain 30% less sugar than similar products.

Vicky Upton, head of marketing at Alpro UK & Ireland said: “Using our 35 years of experience in plant-based, we have found the perfect way to blend some of our popular plant-based ingredients with sustainably sourced coffee.

“Offering another great way to discover Alpro and plant-based, Alpro Caffè will provide consumers with the opportunity to enjoy chilled, plant-based coffee while indulging in ‘me moments’ at home, taking time out at work or simply sharing with friends.

“We are confident this new range will be a great hit with existing Alpro shoppers, as well as the growing number of people who are looking for plant-based inspiration throughout the store.”

Both drinks in the Alpro Caffè range will have a suggested retail price of £2.50 per carton.
