California, US-based Alter Eco has announced the launch of two new dark chocolate flavours to its organic truffle range; Sea Salt and Salted Caramel.
Made using Ecuadorian cacao and nutrient-rich coconut oil, each treat is organic, Fairtrade and enclosed in a compostable wrapper.
“At Alter Eco, we want to change the world, one wonderful mouthful at a time,” said Edouard Rollet, co-founder and president of Alter Eco. “These delicious new truffles offer unique, elevated flavor profiles for consumers who want a high-quality, delicious indulgence that is also nutritionally considered, environmentally responsible and socially just.”
Both new truffles contain a dark chocolate shell, which covers a silky centre made with coconut oil and Fleur de Sel de Guerande, a culinary sea salt hand-harvested from ancient salt villages in France. The Salted Caramel truffle has the addition of buttery caramel blended throughout the creamy filling.
