Using FY 2010/11 as the baseline year, Amcor’s new environmental targets are:
In addition to the new short-term targets, Amcor will continue with the long-term emissions reduction target of 60% by FY 2029/30, using the baseline year of FY 2005/06.
Greenhouse gas emissions, include scope 1 & 2 and scope 3 and are reported against the ISO 14064 Greenhouse Gas Reporting Standard.
Progress against targets is reported annually in Amcor’s sustainability report, which is assured by an independent third party. Environmental data is also supplied on an ongoing basis to third parties for indices such as the Carbon Disclosure Project and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index.
