A new bottled water has been launched there called SolarRain. The product is created by making rain inside a filtration system powered by a solar thermal system.
According to 10news.com, ‘that energy is used to warm the water. The warming creates a man-made cloud in one giant container and the cloud is pumped into another stainless steel container, where it is cooled and then rains.”
What’s the catch? The water comes from the Pacific Ocean, so the process is a form of desalination. A desalination breakthrough would indeed be important news.
