Arytza has announced that it will appoint former Unilever and FrieslandCampina executive Gregory Sklikas as the new CEO of its European operations.
Sklikas will succeed Arytza’s current European CEO Dermot Murphy in May 2018 as Murphy has decided to step down from his position after 20 years at the helm.
Sklikas has held various management positions in the food and drink industry, with 14 years of experience at Unilever and 11 years at FrieslandCampina.
His most recent position was COO, EMEA for FrieslandCampina, and he previously led the company’s South East Europe and Greek operations.
Arytza CEO, Kevin Toland said: “Dermot has provided great leadership and support during a period of significant change and transition for the Group.
“I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to Dermot for his invaluable contribution to Arytza throughout his 20 years’ service, and to wish him well in his future endeavours.
“At the same time, I want to welcome Gregory who brings a wealth of experience and achievement across the food sector in Europe.”
Murphy will vacate his position at the end of August, and will aid Sklikas during the transitionary period.
Murphy added: “In my 20 years in Arytza I have had wonderful experiences and have fully enjoyed my time working with the Arytza teams both in Europe and across the globe.
“I wish Kevin, his new management team and everybody in Arytza much success for the future.”
