Bakery firm Aryzta has appointed Dave Johnson as its new chief executive officer, North America, and has also announced the appointment of John Heffernan as its new chief strategy officer.
Johnson will assume his position on Tuesday 23 January, while Heffernan will commence his duties from 28 February.
Johnson’s most recent role was as the president and CEO, Americas of Barry Callebaut, a role which he held for nine years before leaving in August 2017.
Prior to Barry Callebaut, Johnson gathered over 20 years of industry experience at Kraft, where he served as president of Kraft North America from 2003-2006.
Johnson also held the position of chief operating officer and then CEO at Michael Foods from 2007-2009.
Heffernan will join Aryzta from DAA plc – an Irish company which operates Dublin and Cork airports – where he served as the company’s chief development officer.
Heffernan also established several clean energy companies between 2006-2014, such as Clearpower and Aer ltd, and was the CEO of both companies.
