The managing committee of the KIN food institute (KIN-Lebensmittelinstitut) has announced the appointment of Axel Graefe as new manager and head of institute.
“I’m very much looking forward to working for this renowned institute and to becoming a part of its huge network of expertise,” said Graefe. “With optimism and openness to innovation and considered expansion, it is my aim to lead the KIN to a successful future.”
For more than 35 years, Axel Graefe has held leading positions in the food supplier industry and most recently in the food industry itself. He has held management posts at companies such as Haarmann & Reimer, Dragoco KG (both now Symrise AG), Firmenich and Frutarom.
While at Frutarom SA Switzerland and Döhler America, he lived and worked overseas for many years. As a qualified communication coach, Axel Graefe has also delivered advanced training to sales and marketing managing staff.
The main focus of KIN GmbH is on microbiology, chemistry and sensory analysis, market research, histology and packaging tests. Alongside these preventative and solution-oriented services, the KIN also offers consultation services.
