Bel-Group owned cheese brand Babybel aims to profit from increased snacking occasions among US consumers with its new range of Cheese & Crackers.
Featuring 100% Babybel cheese wheels, the products are available in three variants: original with crunchy mini butter crackers, white cheddar with crunchy mini butter crackers, and light with crunchy, mini, whole-grain wheat crackers.
The brand said it is responding to research which revealed that the percentage of Americans who say they snack two to three times per day increased from 50% in 2015 to 55% in 2017.
Providing a source of protein and calcium, Babybel’s Cheese & Crackers range aims to make snack time easier more balanced.
Babybel brand director Shannon Maher said: “As families continue to snack more frequently and in more on-the-go occasions, it was a natural evolution to pair our already delicious cheese with its other half – the cracker – in a package that’s convenient for families.”
Babybel Cheese & Crackers are available in the US in packs of one or three for a suggested retail price of $1.29 and $3.49 respectively.
