Ball, Heineken and the Serbian National Museum have partnered to create limited-edition cans for Heineken’s Serbia-based Zaječarsko brand.
The cans will feature four pieces artwork from the museum, and Ball utilised the HD printing capabilities at its Belgrade, Serbia facility to transfer the designs onto the cans.
Ball’s HD technology is based on direct laser engraved plates, and Ball claims the technique allows the printing of fine details on cans.
Designs from Serbian artists Paja Jovanovic, Dimitrije Avramovic, Sava Sumanovic and Nadezda Petrovic have been selected by Heineken, and one Serbian Dinar from each can sold will go to the museum.
A spokesperson from Zaječarsko said: “Ball was a clear choice when it came to choosing a partner for this unique can design.
“The team was innovative, excited and helpful when assisting in choosing the designs and printing options. The cans bring the beautiful artwork into the hands of the people in Serbia.”
Jovan Jovanovic, sales manager for Ball added: “The collaboration is unique for Ball and really puts our printing techniques to the test.
“We see a great appeal for limited edition packaging and are delighted with the result.”
