Confectionery brand Bassetts has extended its range of Jelly Babies products with the addition of a new berry mix variety.
The new bag features Jelly Babies in blackcurrant, raspberry and strawberry flavours, and contains real fruit juice with natural colours and flavours. Available in 190g bags, they launched into retailers with a recommended price of £1.52 this month.
Its launch will offer retailers the opportunity to attract new customers through the refined flavour offering; “ideal for sharing, the brand aims to attract new families and younger consumers to the category with the line extension,” the brand’s owners said.
Elizabeth Huelsmann, senior brand manager for bagged candy at Mondelēz International, added: “Bassetts Jelly Babies is a fun and well-loved heritage brand, worth more than £24 million. We often hear of our consumers identifying their favourite flavours and are delighted to launch a bag of just berry flavours. Ideal for sharing, this new line extension will appeal to a wider spectrum of consumers, particularly young families.”
