Senator Dick Durbin (Illinois) recently stated: “People using dietary supplements have the right to know the potential risks. Some ingredients may be safe for the general population but introduce risks for groups like children or pregnant women, or they should be avoided by people with health conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure. In addition, some of these supplements, such as energy drinks, which are heavily marketed to young adults, are being taken in large doses by consumers who aren’t aware of the potentially dangerous side effects.”
Bazi is encouraging the consumer to not only read the label but become a more educated consumer. Bazi intends to lead the charge in educating the consumer that ‘healthy energy’ exists and can be found in its 2oz shot drink.
“The backlash from both the consumer and medical field is getting louder and louder regarding energy drink ingredients and potential side effects,” said Bazi CEO, Debbie Wildrick. “Bazi is determined to turn the tide and embrace the criticism with a straightforward response: Bazi is more than energy!
“Bazi is intelligent energy; it doesn’t rely on excessive amounts of caffeine, vitamin B12 or sugar but rather the enormous efficacy of antioxidants found in super fruits as its primary delivery system for daily energy.”
“As a former educational administrator, I am convinced that the energy drink market is on the rise among our youth,” said Kevin Sherman, president of Bazi. “However, the concern lies in the fact that there is no identifiable therapeutic benefit to children with many of the existing energy drinks. Bazi delivers energy and nutrition the way Mother Nature intended by nitrifying the cells rather than an artificial stimulant rush.”
