Beanies has launched a new range of flavoured instant coffees fortified with vitamin D.
The brand has launched three different flavours of enriched Beanies+ coffee: vanilla bean, cherry chocolate and apple cinnamon. Each serving provides a day’s dose of the vitamin, which helps to support immune function and protect against muscle weakness and bone disease.
A cup of Beanies+ is free from sugar and delivers just 2kcal, helping the brand to target an increasing base of consumers who are looking to reduce both their sugar and calorie intake.
The vitamin D-enriched coffees join Beanies’ regular line-up of flavoured coffees, including amaretto almond, chocolate orange, cinder toffee, coconut delight, cookie dough and gingerbread. They are stocked in the UK through Sainsbury’s and Tesco, and exported to more than 15 markets worldwide.
John Evans, managing director for Beanies, said: “This is an exciting new chapter for Beanies. The Beanies+ range taps into completely new channels for us as a business. Health and wellness is driving consumer choices – and as a result retailers are looking for products for their shelves that meet this demand. Vitamin D, and the dilemma of how we can all get our daily dose, is also making the headlines. This is where Beanies+ knocks socks off. Low-calorie, sugar-free flavoured coffee with added Vitamin D – it ticks all those wellness boxes in one cup – and delivers on taste too.”
