Californian-based creamery Bellwether Farms has introduced a new line of fresh sheep cheese logs featuring five flavours across the US.
The new line includes Original, Strawberry Preserves, Orange Marmalade, Moroccan Spice and Sonoma Herbs varieties.
Bellwether Farms says the ‘creamy, fresh’ cheeses can elevate a snack, appetiser or main dish and are delicious on crackers, toast or as a smooth filling in homemade quiche or ravioli.
The logs join Bellwether Farm’s line-up of sheep milk-based products including yogurt, ricotta and semi-hard cheese pepato.
According to the company, many consumers seek sheep milk products as they tend to be gentler on digestion due to containing 100% A2 type proteins.
“Our sheep milk products have been a huge hit with our customers. They’ve been asking us to add a fresh sheep cheese to the mix and we’re delighted to oblige with this launch,” said Liam Callahan, owner of Bellwether Farms.
“Thanks to the clean taste of sheep milk and our traditional, small-batch production methods, we are confident that our Fresh Sheep Cheese will be a new favourite among cheese lovers.”
Bellwether Farms’ Fresh Sheep Cheese Logs are available at grocery stores for an RRP of $5.99.
