Belvoir Fruit Farms has added two new lighter varieties to its range of sparkling pressés and soft drinks.
Belvoir’s Light range has been bolstered by the addition of zingy raspberry lemonade and fragrant elderflower and rose pressé, joining the elderflower pressé that launched in 2014. The range contains 30% less sugar than the original versions of the drinks.
People still love Belvoir’s classic cordials and pressés made using only natural ingredients with no artificial preservatives or sweeteners, but there is a new consumer who wants less sugar, the brand contended. The Light range enables this different audience to enjoy Belvoir’s gently sparkling pressés too.
Like all of Belvoir’s drinks, the Light range is handmade using real pressed fruit juices and freshly picked flowers so that, despite the reduction in sugar, there is no reduction in flavour.
All three variants are sold in 75cl bottles with prices from £2.39, and contain no more than 65 calories per 250ml serving – in some cases almost half the equivocal amount of their full-sugar alternative.
