Canada-headquartered beverage manufacturer BevCanna Enterprises has lined up the launch of a range of cannabis-infused iced teas.
The “easy-drinking” Grüv Beverages line will be available in two variants: ginger mint herbal iced tea and matcha green iced tea.
The products have been developed in response to BevCanna’s recent North America-wide consumer study, which focused on product and consumption preferences within the cannabis-infused beverage market.
“Iced tea was among the top five performing concepts, among 25 product concepts tested,” said Emma Andrews, chief commercialisation officer at BevCanna.
Each iced tea will contain 5mg of THC and 5mg of CBD infused in an alkaline spring water base.
“We are also choosing to launch this brand with a balanced THC and CBD profile (1:1 ratio), in order to provide consumers with a mild, yet effective cannabis experience.”
Grüv Beverages will be one of the first brands launched by BevCanna in the US. In Canada, the drinks will go on sale following the legalisation of cannabis-infused products in October 2019.
BevCanna will commercialise ready-to-drink beverages with 5mg of THC and 5mg of CBD infused in an alkaline spring water base.
