Boë has expanded its portfolio of gins and gin liqueurs with the introduction of a ‘bright green’ Apple & Lime flavour edition.
The Scotland-based brand says that its latest gin blends notes of green apple and a ‘kick’ of lime with the spice of its Scottish Dry Gin.
With an ABV of 41.5%, Boë Apple & Lime has been designed to suit a range of gin mixers, including lemonade, soda and tonic.
“We know that the modern drinker loves to be adventurous with flavours – and this new gin presents the perfect opportunity to get creative,” said Carlo Valente, director at Boë Gin.
“We dissected the botanicals that were in our gin to see how we could bind the fruit and spice notes with an unusual flavour note in gin – green apples. After some experimentation, we found that lime citrus was the perfect component to balance the flavours together and top off that stunning green colour.
“We’ve heard so many times from our consumers that they prefer gin with something other than tonic and this inspired us to create a modern flavour that would complement a range of mixers.”
Boë Apple & Lime gin is available across the UK, for £30 per 700ml bottle, via the company’s online shop. It can also be found in Tesco stores across Scotland.
Jill Sutherland, Tesco Scotland buying manager, added: “We are really proud of the work we do to bring our customers a wide range of fantastic Scottish suppliers; so, it is very exciting that Boë is bringing forward a new gin flavour in time for summer. We hope our customers love it.”
