US beverage firm Bom Bom Brands has introduced Fully Baked, an alcoholic drink which is made with hemp milk and blended with Caribbean rum, chocolate chip cookies and brownie flavours.
Bom Bom said that hemp milk is increasingly become a healthy alternative for non-dairy consumers. Produced from the seeds of the hemp plant, the milk does not contain the chemical THC which found in marijuana.
Fully Baked is said to be the “first alcoholic product made with hemp milk” and has an ABV of 14.2%, a figure just higher than the new Baileys Almande drink.
Bom Bom Brands founders Kevin Mowers and Eva Maria Janerus said that the inspiration for the Fully Baked flavour came from their favourite ice cream flavour, half baked.
“We decided to take half baked all the way with Fully Baked,” they said. “We want our company to always evolve and we never settle for just good or even just great, which is why Fully Baked uses hemp milk. Not only is it lower-calorie and vegan, like our Nilli Vanilli, but it’s nut-free as well and has no artificial flavours or preservatives.”
The launch marks the third release by the brand following the introduction of Coco Mochanut – a blend of chocolate, coffee, coconut and Caribbean rum – and Nilli Vanilli – a dairy-free liqueur made with almond milk, vanilla cookies and Caribbean rum.
Fully Baked will go on sale in the US in 750ml bottles with a recommended retail price of between $19.99 and $21.99.
