Pickle brand Branston has invested more than £150,000 in a series of sampling activities for the summer months, popping up at various picnic occasions to reinforce the brand’s association with sandwiches.
Branston will take its van to locations across the country – from London to Lincoln – until the end of October. It has also signed a co-sponsor deal with Luna Cinema Series and will be appearing at 30 different events with the aim of sampling at least 150,000 people, a statement from the brand said.
Through the Luna Cinema partnership Branston Pickle is looking to reach a younger audience as well as reminding lapsed users about the variety of products Branston has to offer. Ensuring that all Branston lovers will be able to enjoy a sample treat from the brand, Branston will also take its van to the six Battle Proms events running this summer as well as the Folk by the Oak concert at Hatfield House, Hertfordshire. Here Branston Pickle will be raising awareness of the new chutney offering, which FoodBev first reported on back in March.
Branston brand manager Victoria Adams: “We’re going to showcase the versatility of the Branston offering, from hot dogs with Branston relish at the cinema events to delicious cheese and chutney on crackers at the picnic concerts, highlighting that whatever the al fresco eating occasion, there is a Branston product for you.
“We’re incredibly proud to be taking the Branston van to the Luna Cinema, Battle Proms and Folk by the Oak concert this summer and hope we remind consumers that there is more than one way to enjoy condiments from their favourite brand.”
