The partnership provides Asset with access to know-how in the field of filtration and enhancement of drinking water which Brita – the only global brand in the segment – has built up over decades. According to Asset, the further plus point is Brita’s international marketing and distribution expertise.?
For Brita, the stake in Asset represents an important new step in the advancement of its water dispenser division Brita Vivreau. It is the latest in a long line of acquisitions and stakes since 2010 (enviva, Ionox, Aqua Watt, Varicon and Vivreau ), which Brita has been using to systematically establish and expand the point-of-use water dispenser segment.
Brita and Asset already have experience in working together, as Asset manufactures the water processing unit for the 4-way kitchen dispenser Brita Neo 4. Continuity in the management of Asset is also guaranteed. Paolo Tesi, 50, and Andrea Simoncelli, 39, are to remain managing directors, and as such will continue to bring their knowledge and skills to bear in the company, thus ensuring innovation and success in the market.
