Four of the UK’s major supermarkets have demonstrated their commitment to RSPCA Assured, the ethical food accreditation scheme, by signing up to support its latest television advertising campaign.
The logos of Sainsbury’s, Lidl, Aldi and The Cooperative Food will all feature in RSPCA Assured’s relaunched advert, designed to raise awareness of the recently rebranded programme. The campaign will be supported by a series of infographics and videos on chicken welfare, which will also be shared on social media.
The RSPCA Assured label on meat, eggs and fish, which launched in May last year having previously been known as Freedom Food, hopes to help improve the lives of 100 million more farm animals, plus many millions of salmon and trout, within five years.
RSPCA Assured marketing manager Liam Kurzeja said: “Having the logos of four of the biggest supermarkets in the advert will leave people in no doubt of where to shop for RSPCA Assured products, and really help boost awareness of the new brand.
“The more we can encourage people to choose RSPCA Assured products, the more supermarkets will stock them and more farm animals will have a better life.”
