Brooklyn Brewery has revealed plans to launch an American-style pale ale in the UK, available from the beginning of next month.
The 4.5% ABV American Ale is produced using Willamette, Cascade and Amarillo hops for “a punchy, herbal aroma partnered with a distinctly piney scent,” which Brooklyn Brewery claimed was a hallmark of many US pale ales. “The crisp, clean malt of Brooklyn’s newest export, paired with the gentle bitterness of the drink, is set to leave beer drinkers across the country refreshed, yet thirsty for more,” it said.
The product joins the beermaker’s current offerings in the UK, which include Brooklyn lager, Sorachi Ace, Brooklyn Blast and East India pale ale. It will be available throughout the UK on draught and in 355ml bottles from 5 September, with cans following next year.
Brooklyn Brewery UK brand ambassador Rachael Weseloh said: “Brooklyn Brewery’s American Ale is a set to become a classic US pale ale and we’re excited to be launching it in the UK. We have big plans for the launch, and Grillstock Festival London is the perfect opportunity to celebrate its arrival.
“The British drinker’s love of great beer continues to grow from strength to strength, so it’s a great time for us to be introducing a new permanently available beer from our brewery in New York.
“It’s the perfect beer to enjoy year round and goes perfectly with pizza, burgers, spicy food or even just another bottle of American Ale.”
