AB InBev has launched its first nitro-infused beer under its Budweiser brand across the US, as it aims to offer a premium experience for beer lovers.
Budweiser Nitro Reserve Gold is a golden lager brewed with nitrogen gas with notes of toasted caramel malt, reportedly bringing a bold taste and silky-smooth finish.
According to Budweiser, the nitro specialty beer, with a 5% ABV, requires a unique three-step pouring ritual, which is showcased by a new TV ad.
Unlike traditional beer pouring habits, Budweiser recommends its Nitro consumers to shake the lager three times and then pour the can’s contents straight down the middle of a glass before relaxing and enjoying the beer.
By shaking the lager, the nitrogen gas bubbles are energised throughout instead of requiring a ‘widget’ like other nitrogen gas-infused beers.
“We’re very excited about the introduction of Budweiser Nitro Reserve because it meets the growing demand for premium products and the rise in popularity of nitro infused beverages,” said Ricardo Marques, VP marketing core and value brands at AB InBev.
Marques added: “With its unique serving ritual, Budweiser Nitro Gold produces a beautiful cascade visual and delivers a silky-smooth taste due to smaller, denser bubbles.”
Budweiser Nitro Reserve Gold is available nationwide in 12oz cans in packs of six or 12.
