Bunge Loders Croklaan has released its first clean label liquid margarine product called Delica Pro Gold, which is tailored to the needs of artisanal and industrial bakeries.
The plant-based clean label ingredient is a liquid non-hydrogenated margarine produced from a blend of plant-based oils, including a mix of wheat germ, corn, and linseed virgin oils.
Delica Pro Gold does not include any artificial flavours or colours and contains 20% fewer calories than a conventional margarine solution, and the virgin oil provides products with a natural colour, giving baked products a “fresh and wholesome” appearance.
According to the company, Delica Pro Gold also helps to increase a product’s volume and gives a homogeneous structure through improved aeration, making the structure of pound cakes, muffins and sponge cakes fluffier and lighter.

“We overcame this challenge by adapting the formulation with a virgin oil mixture with high emulsifying properties combined with a new production process.
