Flavoured lemonade brand Calypso has released a new line of light lemonades in four flavours, targeting health-conscious consumers this summer.
Manufactured by the King Juice company, the original Calypso Lemonade recipe was created in 1985.
The new line-up will expand the brands portfolio of lemonades, limeades, and tea and lemonade combinations, each based on the original recipe.
Each beverage in the Calypso Light range contains 0g of sugar and only five calories per bottle.
Made with real lemon fruit bits, the natural flavours are inspired by the taste of the islands featuring Original, Ocean Blue, Strawberry and Southern Peach.
“We’re passionate about our island-inspired drinks, and we love watching our community unwind, relax and experience a mini ‘vacation in a bottle,’” said David Klavsons, CEO of King Juice Company.
Klavsons added: “Launching just in time for summer, the light line is perfect for sugar and carb conscious consumers; we created these drinks to help more people enjoy all the delicious flavours Calypso is known for, regardless of their diets or health needs.”
Calypso Light Lemonades will be available to purchase for an RRP of $1.79 per bottle at Kroger in early April, with additional retailers to follow.
